Once upon a time

24 June 2019

Once upon a time there was a great lady (organization) of the territory called UN. This great lady had a perpetual struggle with two great dragons that constantly threatened the population of the place.

The tremendous struggle faced the UN with the dragons called COAL and OIL. They left everything very dirty, black and sticky every time they appeared. To fight against these ogres, Ms. UN created a defensive area of 18 spaces called SDG. The UN was asking all regions, territories and communities adjacent for a great GLOBAL COMPACT to fight the OIL and COAL dragons. Those adhering to that pact, that alliance, the signatories, the allies of the SDG. They opted for greater closeness / sympathy to some of those SDG although they did not annex all of them sympathized with the great COMPACT.

It was in January 2016, magical date and of great importance for the future of Mother Earth, when the Sustainable Development Goals (SDG) of the UN, the most ambitious action plan in favor of people, came into force. planet and prosperity until 2030.

Among the various allies who came to the call, many were associated in a country called SPAIN where the largest number of supporters follow by FRANCE and BRAZIL.

According to data from the Spanish Network of the Global Compact, in 2018, 93% of the companies consulted claim to carry out actions related to the care of the environment, such as the calculation of CO2 emissions or the implementation of strategic plans to combat the climate change. It should be noted that 35% of the IBEX35 companies have a specific program or strategy for this fight.

Now more than ever it is necessary to strengthen the alliance that combats these undesirable effects, have a proactive participation and work for the development and fulfillment of the SDG.

Grupo T-Solar as a company adhering to the Global Compact exercised its vote in the last GENERAL ASSEMBLY held on June 18, 2019 and subsequently participated in the celebration of the 15th Anniversary of the Spanish Network of the United Nations Global Compact. As a company committed to the SDG and the 2030 Agenda, following its firm commitment to be an example of transparency and implementation of good business practices to achieve such challenges, this year will publish its first progress report to be presented in December to the Spanish Network of the United Nations Global Compact. We hope to share with all future successes in the field of Environment, Human Rights and Good Business Practices.
