Grupo T-Solar: Sustainability Report and commitment to the principles of the United Nations Global Compact

31 December 2019

The 10 Principles of the United Nations Global Compact are the essential values since the beginning of the initiative in 2000.

They are based on United Nations universally accepted declarations of human rights, labor standards, environment and anti-corruption. These principles are summarized as follows:

Therefore, affiliated companies should not cause negative impacts on their interest groups and society as a whole, but should begin to act as development agents, causing positive impacts that change the way of doing business and improve the welfare of society as a whole.

Each company Signatory to the United Nations Global Compact Initiative must present an annual progress report on its commitment to promote and implement this principles and must pursue the following objectives:

1. Incorporate the 10 Principles into business activity

2. To channel actions in support of the broader objectives of the United Nations, including the 17 “Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs)”:

The 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) play an essential role, providing companies with a universal and coherent framework to guide their contributions to sustainable development and create shared value. Companies, according to their sector and business model, must identify which objectives and goals have the capacity to influence and start carrying out activities and operations to contribute to sustainable development according to their identified interest groups.
