Culture of Compliance Grupo T-Solar

04 February 2019

For many years Grupo T-Solar Global is firmly committed to all those policies and projects that represent a transformation of the planet towards a sustainable development future.

The implementation of Good Corporate Governance Practices and Ethical Code, Criminal Law Compliance Program, Data Protection and Prevention of Anticompetitive Practices, Programs of conservation and recovery of the Environment, local Communities and Social Funds, active involvement of Women, Law of Equality of Opportunities, Waste Management and Risk Prevention, Environmental, Social and Corporate Governance (ESG) practices that are part of the Group's Compliance Culture and of the daily work of our managers and employees. You can check each element and implementation of the Compliance Culture practices of Grupo T-Solar with transparency and in detail on our website from where you can download different documents (Company Ethical Code, Environmental  and Communities Report, Data Protection and Anticorruption Policy and others). The company activity of T-Solar, by its own nature of renewable energy production, is associated with these global challenges, such as the fight against climate change and protection of the environment.

Increasing this commitment with the Global Community good practices and projects, recently Marta Martínez Queimadelos, CEO of Grupo T-Solar Global, has applied for the Adherence to the United Nations Global Compact Initiative, as Signatory Partner, to the Secretary of the United Nations Antonio Guterres. The United Nations Global Compact Initiative is committed to promoting and implementing the 10 universally accepted principles in the areas of human rights, labor, environment and anti-corruption. This application emphasizes the renewal of the commitment, the implementation of measures for its execution and the evaluation of results, and its annual progress communication (COP), as a key requirement.

The UN Global Compact Initiative as a Global Alliance for the 2030 Agenda, is a 15-year initiative that was implemented three years ago by the UN, focused on the so-called Sustainable Development Goals (SDG) achievement by private companies as essential actors of the Alliance, which obviously also includes other institutions and public bodies. The United Nations Global Compact is one of the biggest initiatives in sustainable development and transparency.

The Spanish network of this Global Compact Initiative has issued different documents where the achievement of the development degree of this program to obtain the 17 SDGs, according to the different Communities and cities of our country, can be downloaded.

It has also issued another document regarding the involvement degree of Spanish companies in achieving the same goal: as well as the priorities granted by them, according to the different SDGs. An extensive Report on the Sustainable Development Goals, by the United Nations 2018, can be read in this link.
